Wrong. Actually Microsoft is dumping the Windows OS at the 25 year mark for a whole new OS creation. They also are coming out with a Linux Distro created by them ironically (intentionally ?) named after a malware....

If "monolithic" as you call it has next to none zero days in its programming and the same count of malware that actually in proof of concept attempted to run on it - well I'll stay "monlithic" thank you.
