How do you set up a dual boot system on your hard drive?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 140AApDnjJ
I have installed windows 7 and linux Ubunto on another partition. My issue is that i cannot seem to access linux and I do not know how to configure it so when I start my computer I have the choice of windows or linux. Please help me with this issue and explain a bit more about setting up a duel or tri- boot hard drive because I am planning on doing more of this in the future.

Yeah it was easy. It partitioned by itself and installed. However, I cannot seem to get the choice to boot it when I start up my computer.

Ubuntu Linux is about most popular and is automatic with a few clicks. The entire dual boot system with partitioned disk is done automatically with menus in the installation CDs (desktop) or USB Drive (Netbook/Laptops). Once installed and on reboot the black screen appears with choice of operating systems you wish to use. The default should be Windows which would automatically start in either 10 or 30 seconds (preferences) if no key is pressed. Otherwise you would use the arrows to go up or down to the highlighted OS (operating system) you wish to use - either Windows or Linux.

Apparently you have not installed correctly and I would recommend researching "grub" which is the boot sector thingy that enables Linux to boot. It is soooo automatic there should be no problems in following directions exactly. Try some Tutorial links and review if you followed installation properly...
