Why Linux Needs Malware Protection
Consumer Electronics Net
Although Linux malware is relatively rare compared to attacks on Windows, it exists, and it's steadily increasing.
In fact, as far back as 2005, the amount of known Linux malware had already doubled over the course of a year to 863 programs.....http://www.consumerelectronicsnet.com/a ... on-1946330
(Personally have tried ESET NOD32 on Debian and Ubuntu.... It is flawless ! . So light - and FULL Real Time Protection processes..... STRONGLY recommended as BEST ! Runs like you wish it does on Windows. Have had bad results with free AVG and Avast. oh well... ) .
30 Day Free Trial / Try it, seeing is believing ! (Has antispyware built in too.)

PS..... Quality Linux antimalware products are NOT eye candy. They are a real solution for a real problem. Any of we former Windows Users can ask any life-er diehard Linux Users who might still swear you do not need this - one simple question..... How do you know right now there is not spyware in your Linux system and files ? (Anyone under a complete Advanced User in Linux security will NOT be able to answer that truthfully, obviously. I happen to be that in Windows).
